My boyfriend is gone to do his base training and I am going insane without him

So he left about a week ago and he hasn't called or written me and he said he would. I don't know what is going on. My grandpa went into the military and he has been telling me that he will find someone to keep him company, if you know what I mean. He says it always happens, well most of the time. So I don't know what to do and I am going crazy. I guess I just need some advice and someone to talk to. So please email me if you want to.

thank you guys for helping me get through a really tuff time he is home and i am so happy everything is fine but he is leaving in a year to go to irac and will be there for 11 months so pray for us it will be hard.....

Boot Camp Schedule

I found this online. My BF just left for training at Ft. Benning.

A typical day of a Boot Camp schedule:
5:00 AM wake up, 5:30 AM physical training for one hour, breakfast at 6:30 AM, training at 8:30 AM, noon lunch, 1:00 PM training until 5:00 PM, 5:00 PM dinner, 6:00 PM drill sergeant time, 8:30 PM is personal time and 9:30 PM is lights out.

When my boyfriend left for basic training, I didn't hear from him for a while either after he left. He told me they are SO busy, especially when they first arrive, that there isn't any spare time to scratch your butt, much less write or make phone calls. Don't worry, you'll hear from him soon and he will tell you the same thing. Don't take what "Grandpa" said to heart ... I ended up marrying my boyfriend!

Be patient

Basic training is a very very busy time for our troups. They have so much to learn and so many adjustments to make. It is also a difficult time for most of them. They are away from home, and very uncertain what the near future will hold for them. Give him time, he has a lot on him right now. When you do hear from him, don't dump on him for not having already been in contact. Enjoy the time you have to communicate with him. Be patient and ignore Grandpa in this instance. Keep us posted.
