I think of you and I feel warm inside
I see your face, I hear your voice,
My lips curl and find a smile
Within my despair, peeks a spark of joy.
Just when I think I can’t take any more
Life has beaten me, I foresee defeat,
I think of you and my spirit is restored
Strengthened, I’m back on my feet.
Though you’re not here to comfort and hold me
I feel your love, I sense your support,
Thoughts of you bring the courage I need
To continue without you once more.
The day will come when we’ll be together again
This knowledge keeps me sane,
Though the time in between seems to never end
To have rainbows you must endure the rain.
