Imperfect

by Barbara
(Dos Palos, California USA)

I'm imperfect for you
I'm someone new
I'm new to love
It flew away like a dove
She is perfect
There's no defect
She's flawless
And you're clueless
She's tall and beautiful
I'm short, ugly and pitiful
I'm imperfect
There's something you can't detect
I'm pretty on the inside
And I'll never hide!!!

Smile
by: Katie

Don't put yourself down. Outer beauty will soon fade, and even sooner become less important. If someone can not see past the outside appearance, they are not worth the effort.

Imperfect??? Damn Skippy
by: Davo

I don't like to hear people down themselves the way you did, but short, ugly and pitiful describes this poem to a T. I do admire your persistence though. Keep trying.

Not Bad
by: Amy

Your poem's not bad. It needs a little work and so does your self-esteem. You can't expect other people to respect you if you don't respect yourself!
