Heartbreak

by Richie
(Dos Palos, California USA)

The first day I met her
Standing at the door,
I was amazed by her beauty
My jaw hit the floor.

It was a rainy day-
The world just wanted to pour,
You had me like a puppy dog
Standing on all four.

It wasn't just the heartbreak
But more than you could know,
You were the person
My feelings I wanted to show!

In the end I asked you,
"Please stop! Don't go!"
But you were just a running river
That wanted just to flow.

No matter what happens
Know that I am here,
Standing up to you is like
Standing up to my biggest fear.

Now I'm all alone with a heartbreak
And even a single tear,
Now I finally know
Everything is clear!

I was going to try and say something nice, because I like to encourage creative outlets, but to be totally honest I was not impressed, but no reason to give up.

Heartbreak or Heartburn?
by: Anonymous

A SINGLE tear doesn't sound like much of a heartbreak but your poem has merit.

Hum...very good poem. Lot of honesty for a guy. Sounds like the dude means it to me. Are you listening? You two should talk to each other.
