My thoughts naturally drift to you
On this day which honors love,
The one who brightens my whole world
In all that he says and does.
Your eyes, they bring the twinkle
To my dusky sky at night,
Your smile lights my shadows
My darkest days made bright.
Your touch, it sets afire
My skin when next to yours,
Awakening my deepest desires
The love in my heart assured.
I hear the most beautiful music
And my spirits simply rejoice,
When within the softest whisper
I find the sound of your loving voice.
The only flavor I savor
Is the taste of your sweet lips,
And the tender way they quiver
Beneath the touch of my fingertips.
When I’m alone and all that lingers
Is your scent upon my pillow,
I close my eyes and I remember
Every detail no matter how little.
So on this day for lovers
I pray our love never fades,
And in our hearts only each other
Today, tomorrow, always.
