More Twisted Love Poems The Silly Side
This Twisted Love Poem leans a little towards goofy, but every now and again you have to open the shade and let the sun shine in.
A GLIMPSE
I thought I caught a glimpse of you My world from grey to the rainbow changed My pulse quickened, I began to sweat My hair I did try to arrange.
I thought I caught a glimpse of you Down the sidewalk you were strolling, “This is not possible,” I said to myself As no one seemed to be noticing.
I thought I caught a glimpse of you And quickly spun my car around, Thankful was I the law did not view The wheels of my vehicle leave the ground.
I thought I caught a glimpse of you, My heart somersaulted in my chest It left its cavity, detached itself And upon the dashboard came to rest.
We thought we caught a glimpse of you, My heart and I strained to see But so hard was focus to maintain While trembling weakly in the knees.
We thought we caught a glimpse of you, But the eyes had lied to us both, My stomach churned, my heart returned So far from true, but oh so close.
